WHAT IS REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY?
Registered Massage Therapists (RMT's) in British Columbia are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body.
Massage therapy can be a very effective way of helping patients overcome injuries and tension on a path to recovery and overall better health. RMT's in BC are extensively trained in various manual therapies and have undergone thousands of hours of classroom and hands on training.
RMT's are trained in various techniques including, but not exclusive to; Swedish massage, Myofascial Release, Sports massage, Lymphatic drainage and Trigger point release.
Massage therapy can be used to treat and lessen the effects of many ailments such as;

Massage therapy is the treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissues and joints by manual and physical methods to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function to relieve pain and promote health.
