WHAT IS CHIROPRACTIC?

What is Chirpractic?

Chiropractic is a method of natural healthcare concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuro-musculo-skeletal system (that’s the interlinking nerves, muscles and bones that make up our bodies) and the effects of these disorders on our health.

Chiropractors are experts at diagnosing issues and relating it back to potential problems that may affect the function and alignment of the spine and joints. These problems can affect the tissues and nerves and this is often where pain and discomfort can begin.

The Chiropractic doctors at Peakform are specially trained to be extraordinary manual clinicians using an evidence based framework.

We enjoying serving as guides on our patient's journey to health. This often involves instructing and teaching our patients tips to help improve their own recoveries, whether through stretching or exercise.

Peakform Chiropractors are also specially trained to take their time and to use various manual therapy techniques that can further relieve tension and set the stage for better treatments and thus better outcomes.

Chiropractic is a highly effective and increasingly popular treatment to address the Musculoskeletal System (MSK). This form of treatment performed by Doctors of Chiropractic can help to alleviate pain and restore function in a patient.

Chiropractors have a deep understanding of the crucial relationship between the body's form and it's function. Just like a building built on a crooked foundation looks awkward and is unsafe for people inside. Doctors of Chiropractic undergo years of education and training to identify structural imbalances in the body that may be causing or is related to a patient's pain.

The Chiropractor will often use their hands to apply a correction to the area of the body in need, most often referred to as an 'adjustment'. These type of manual corrections have the ability to offer patients tremendous relief without resorting to medications for pain. However, due to this tremendous potential for relief this form of treatment is best delivered by a skilled practitioner and definitely only one who has earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
